Your donations allow us to send children to camp at a reduced cost, provide transportation to educational field trips, provide preschoolers with in house enrichment programs and help parents attend literacy based programs that help their children succeed in school.
Elizabeth L. Poff Education Fund
The Elizabeth L. Poff Education Fund was founded in 1996 to honor the legacy of this remarkable woman, who left us much too early. Mrs. Poff was a champion for children and her goal was to see them succeed.
In Mrs. Poff’s honor the Glassboro Child Development Centers will begin to offer scholarships to Glassboro High School seniors for post-secondary education, including technical school, community college, or four year college. Four $250.00 scholarships will be awarded at GHS Awards night in June.
An applicant must:
- Be a 12th grade student attending Glassboro High School
- Have attended the Glassboro Child Development Centers preschool, school age, summer camp, or Counselors in Training (CIT) programs
- Have a 2.5 or higher GPA
- Plan to continue with post-secondary education
- Submit high school transcript and two letters of recommendation from school or community members
Submit the enclosed application by April 30, 2007 to:
